1. What is your favorite word?
Phonetically, I am rather partial to words with Qs in them. I just enjoy the way they sound. Requiem. Ubiquitous. Quiver. Loquacious. Inquisitive. Colloquial. So on and so forth.
2. What is your least favorite word?
“Moist.” Yes, I’m one of those people. It’s just such an icky word. Full-body cringe. Unless you’re talking about cake: Then, and only then, is it fine.
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
Kindness. Compassion. Generosity.
4. What turns you off?
Willful ignorance. Bullying. Cilantro.
5, What is your favorite curse word?
“Fuck,” with all of it’s infinite diversity in infinite combinations.
6. What sound or noise do you love?
Thunderstorms. Paired with a good fan and a cozy comforter, they make for the most ideal of napping conditions.
7. What sound or noise do you hate?
A crying baby.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
Given that teaching and writing are already my planned second act as it is, and I don’t think that I’m up for a third, I can’t honestly say that there’s any other professions that I would like to attempt at this point in my life. However, if I had it all to do over again, I might like to have been a zookeeper.
9. What profession would you not like to do?
Entomologist. Blech.
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates?
“Surprise, bitch!”
